Steven has served in interfaith ministry for over 3 decades. He began his work as a hospice volunteer for both end-of-life care and as grief and loss counselor. He then served as Hospice Chaplain in North-West Mass visiting clients and families in their homes and care facilities to provide spiritual and practical support.
Coincident to this he worked as a chaplain at a Level 1 Trauma Center where he supported people during crisis events and general visitation throughout the hospital especially on Intensive Care Units. Later he served as a chaplain assigned to Palliative Care.
Steven is proud also to have served beside Terri as co-Pastor of a local Vermont church (ABC). There they ministered together to the congregation and to the community for years. Prior to this Steven served filling in as Pulpit Supply to various local churches.
Besides a full career in marketing and small manufacturing he rounded out his education during 3 years at the Vermont Academy of Spiritual Training, in Hospice training, completing multiple units of Clinical Pastoral Training and pursuing an M.Div at Andover Newton Theological School, now a part of Yale University.
Steven has been married to his best friend for 40 years and is proud of their 2 Daughters who were raised in VT and who now live in Eugene, OR and Detroit, MI. Mostly, Steven is thrilled to work beside Terri as they continue their work together to mend lives and learn along the way!
The spiritual journey has always been Terri’s life focus. She began her ministry in Vermont at several area churches as pulpit supply. Together with Steven, Terri studied at the Vermont Academy of Spiritual Training (UCC) and served as co-Pastors of a wonderful congregation in Vermont. Terri received a Masters of Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School at Yale University Seminary. As a couple they enthusiastically supported their church and the larger community as they sought to express God’s unconditional love for all people.
As part of her journey, Terri was also a member of a Buddhist discussion and mediation group for many years. It was central in nourishing her belief in compassion, forgiveness and nonjudgement.
After challenges her second child experienced, Terri served as a parent advocate for the Winston Prouty Center in Vermont. She Co-Chaired the Vermont Interagency Coordinating Council overseeing the Early Intervention Programs there. She became a child advocate, a Public Awareness Coordinator for Family, Infant and Toddler Program and a Children’s Defense Fund fellow. She is committed to helping parents facing such trying difficulties.
In addition, Terri is a Board Certified Pedorthist specializing in custom footwear and orthotics to provide her physically challenged clients with enhanced mobility allowing them to engage life fully with confidence and dignity.
She is joyfully married to her partner of many years, Steven. She believes that living in Vermont was especially sweet and she is especially proud of her two grown children who are pursuing their life paths with grace and compassion. She enthusiastically looks forward to reaching out to others in need of support on their own spiritual journey.
